Parents and guardians will be given an opportunity to participate in their student's senior planning meeting with Ms. Ahleman this year. The senior planning meeting is an opportunity to make sure students are on track with their college and career goals. FULTON COUNTY HEALTH CENTER
VOLUNTEEN PROGRAM
Attention all students grades 9 through 11 who are interested in Health Careers: Fulton County Health Center wants you to sign up for their VOLUNTEEN program. This opportunity gives high school students a chance to job shadow in different parts of the hospital to help you experience what a career in health care is really like. Students who complete the program are eligible for a scholarship. The next orientation for the 2012-2013 year will be in June. COLLEGE AND CAREER NIGHT MARCH 13
Several community members donated their time and talents on March 13 to offer Liberty Center High School students a diverse College and Career Night. Genuine appreciation is expressed toward these members of our community! The speakers and fields included: Dr. Michael Carpenter-dentistry; Missy Bartels-dental hygiene; Dr. John Jones-veterinary medicine; Jim Haughn-attorney; Elizabeth Stewart-paralegal; Dan Schaffer-computer programming; Mary Gregory-skilled trades apprenticeship programs; Lydia Ellinwood-accounting; Dr. Karen Wylie-alternative energy engineering; Darla Knipp-owner of Moxi Spa and Salon; Karen Rohrs-Obstetric Nurse Practitioner; marv Barlow-Banking and Finance; and Suzy Baily-Psychiatric Social Work.

B, Davis Scholarship
A $1,000 for users of the Student Award Search Aid website. Log on at http://studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm to apply and browse other scholarship opportunities. Deadline is May 28, 2012.
Liberty Center Athletic Association Scholarship
Liberty Center Athletic Association will award $500 to one male and one female athlete. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by April 22, 2012.
Lois Ann Griffith and Sherman Memorial Book Scholarships
A $500 book scholarship for Henry County residents who will major in education. Submit a transcript, 3 letters of recommendation, a list of community activities and and essay explaining why you will make a great teacher by April 1, 2012.
A $500 book scholarship who live in or graduated from a Henry County High School. Applications are available in the guidance office and must be accompanied by a resume, a transcript, 2 letters of recommendation, and an essay explaining why one is applying for this grant. Applications due April 1, 2012.
Bugaj-Kern Athletic Scholarship
A $3,000 local scholarship based on athletics, academics, citizenship and need. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by April 16, 2012.
Liberty Center Classroom Teachers Association
Based on academic performance, community activities,educational goals and a short essay. Applications are available in the guidance office.Deadline March 30.
Liberty Center Music Boosters Scholarship
Based on school and community activities. Applicants must be involved in instrumental or vocal music at LCHS. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline April 2, 2012.
Owens Community College PSEO Scholarship
For students enrolled in Owens Post Secondary or Dual Enrollment Courses who plan to attend Owens full time Fall semester 2012. Schoalrships are to be used for books and other school supplies. Amount of award will depend on number of qualified applicants. Apllications are available in the guidance office. Deadline May 4, 2012.

Toledo Academy of Beauty Scholarship- Awards variable. Based on counselor recommendation and brief essay explaining why you want to pursue a career in Cosmetology. Applications available in the guidance office. No deadline indicated.
OSU Alumni Association GLTB Alumni Association- $1,500 schollarship for incoming freshmen who have demonstrated involvement in and dedication to the GLTB community. Additional scholarships for GLTB students who plan to study music, demonstrate need, or have worked in the HIV/AIDS community. Information contact is valentine149@osu.edu. Northwest Ohio School Boards Book Grant
